GetPT 1st & Be a Primary Care Physical Therapist

In honor of GetPT 1st day I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the mindset behind living this truth. In the video below I explain what GetPT 1st and being a Primary Care Physical Therapist means to me and how that translates into my business and marketing philosophy. I hope you enjoy it and please leave your thoughts and what GetPT 1st means to you in the comments section below.

We don’t need to market our services to “doctors.” We are doctors. Doctors of physical therapy. WE may not all have a “doctoral” degree, but that shouldn’t keep us from having the mindset of a doctor and a primary care physical therapist. To be a  “doctor” is to be a professional with authority. To be a physical therapist is to be the premier healthcare provider for movement disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain.

To grow your practice without fear of loosing referrals because you disagree with a patient’s physician, your #1 referral source is retiring, the hospital orders physicians to refer in-house, you can choose to be a primary care physical therapist. To increase the number of new patients calling for an appointment, achieve our stated goals as a profession and be free from relying on others to be successful we need to market directly to the consumer of our services, The Patient!
