Before You Market on Facebook...

Facebook is sexy. It’s the thing that everyone wants to do to market their clinic.

The problem with Facebook advertising is that it doesn’t quite work in the way you’d want. In this video, I speak about what needs to be done before you even think about boosting those posts.

Before marketing online or even paying for an ad in the paper, you have to have back-end systems put in place.

What’s a back-end system? Well, think of it this way: You can’t just show up somewhere and say, “Hey, we’re great!” You’ve got to know who you’re talking to and what they need.

You also have to have a way to track the advertising to know if it’s actually working.

You have to have a message, a call to action, a great offer. If you don’t have those things, don’t do Facebook marketing yet.

What does this look like in action? It’s an email system, something like Active Campaign where you can capture emails. It’s a strategy. Once people give you their contact info, then what?

You’ve got to think about the patient’s journey. There are so many other things to put in place before Facebook ads. Once the below five statements are true… then you can think about ads!

  1. You know who you’re talking to.
  2. You know the message.
  3. You have an offer.
  4. You have a great call to action.
  5. You have a follow-up system.

After all of those are in place and you’re ready to pay, go for it!
