Today, I talk about how NOT to be a sleazy salesperson.
(Spoiler alert: it’s by using an application funnel.)
The number one mistake I see people make is using a “book now” or “schedule now” button on their website or Facebook page. Yes, you have a great call to action. The only problem is that the people who will click on that button are already hot leads. They already know they want to work with you—they may even be current patients!
To get around this, you need to pull in warm leads. Maybe they have a few questions before they are ready to click that “book now” button. To do this, you need an application funnel.
What is an application funnel?
Essentially, it’s a series of pages people go through. This can first be a testimonial page, then a form where people fill out their information (including their goals, etc.). After that, it can finish with a thank you page with more instructions. It can let them know they’ll be reached out to soon to chat, then give them some more content to consume, like a video you’ve made.
So, an application funnel isn’t just a form. It’s a series of pages that takes a potential patient through an indoctrination sequence. It gives them a chance to know, like, and trust you before you’ve even talked to them! It pre-qualifies people so that you’re getting on the phone with someone who is truly ready to buy. And this way, you don’t have to be a sleazy salesperson.
If you’re just using a “book now” button, you’re missing a huge chunk of your audience. These people want more information about you, and with an application funnel, you’re giving it to them. Get it?
