How to Quit Your Day Job Today!

The number one fear a lot of people have is that they will not have enough money to quit their day job and start a cash practice.

In this video, I explain the ways to start a cash practice without having to have this worry!

  1. Get a launch plan.

Set a date and get everything ready. Get your marketing ready, which means your back-end systems. The front-end is what everyone sees. It’s the sign on your door. The back-end systems are what are needed to make the front-end work.

You can’t just put an ad in the paper and expect people to call you. You have to figure out how you will answer the phone. You have to figure out what you’re offering, whether it’s a free eBook or a consultation.

Don’t get me wrong: it doesn’t have to be perfect. In business, 80% is good enough.

Once you have those set up, you can turn on the switch.

In business, 80% is good enough.

  1. Tell your boss.

Tell them you’d like to go down to part time. Say that you are running a specialty cash practice on the side and see both jobs being symbiotic.

Of course, you run the risk of your boss feeling scared you’ll steal all their patients. If that happens, and they do let you go, you’ve got your systems set in place so all you have to do is turn on that switch.

That being said, very few people I’ve worked with were let go because they started a practice. What happens more often than not is that they are let go before they even tell their boss, but it ends up being best thing that ever happened to them.

If you still need a day job, the good news is that there’s no shortage of jobs for physical therapists. Get a job in home health or PRN at the hospital. It pays well and you’re done in time to treat patients in your cash practice in the evening and on weekends. Once you get to enough patients to move to full time cash, do it!

You have to hustle and work hard to get there. But if you’ve got all your systems in place, you’ve got your business set up. It’s not that hard to get to 10 patients a week within a month or two. When you spend time working on your business, you’ll succeed and grow up and up from there.
