Overcome the Biggest Struggle in Your Business

You’re too smart, and today, we’re going to talk about that.

I’ve been in groups where, academically, I was the smartest in the room. The others didn’t have college educations like me, but they were more successful. Why? Because they take action. They do what they’re told. They don’t think too hard.

As a physical therapist, you’re too smart for your own good. You second-guess everything; you’re scared to ask for help.

It takes a powerful person to admit that they don’t have the answer. And you have to be one.

How do you get comfortable asking questions?

You learn to let go of your ego.

I wasn’t supposed to get into Duke for undergrad. Everyone was smarter than me. So, I learned to ask for help from my friends.

To get what you really want (for me, it’s to change the healthcare profession), you can’t do it all on your own. You have to take other’s advice and do what they say.

It’s one thing to look up the answers on Google, but it’s another to figure out which ones are right. If you ask people who’ve been there before, people you look up to, you’ll get the answers you’re looking for.

That is what will catapult you to massive success.
