The Best Self Treatment Tool for Manual Therapists

The Best Self Treatment Tool for Manual Therapists

If you don’t know me, I’m Dr. Aaron LeBauer, a physical therapist here in Greensboro, North Carolina. I’ve been doing massage, bodywork and physical therapy for 20 years.

To go for 20 years, I’d always have to do some self-massage for my arms. In this week’s video, I talk about my favorite self-massage tool for manual therapists!

The R8 Recovery Roller was the best $120 I ever spent. (They aren’t paying me to say that, I promise!)

When you’re doing lots of manual therapy and hands-on techniques, you have to take care of your arms.

One of my favorite techniques is getting the roller right on the tender spot and just leaving it there for a few minutes. Watch the video to see the rest!

It took a long time for me to figure out the best way to treat my own arms, and that’s why I’m sharing this with you! The tool was designed for runners to work on their legs, but I wanted to show you that it’s important for manual therapists too.

If you’re looking to purchase one of these rollers, check them out here!
