The Problem with Physical Therapy Conferences

I never found a physical therapy conference where I could learn the strategies that fit my business.

Today, I’m going to talk about the problem with PT conferences.

You have very specific needs for your business and a lot of people aren’t listening to what those needs are. They are letting corporations and big money interests drive the direction of where they’re going, and they’re not paying attention to you: the private practice owner.

And if they’re not listening, how can they teach you the relevant marketing strategies that you need to know to make your business thrive in 2020? They’re teaching strategies that worked 10, 20 years ago.

Luckily, we have this thing called the Internet. We have YouTube and Instagram and blogs and so many more ways to get patients to choose you. You can’t rely on someone else to send them to you, and that’s what these physical therapy conferences are still preaching.

At these types of events, it doesn’t feel like you’re a part of the team. I’ve been there. You get to the event and don’t know what to say because they aren’t talking about the kinds of problems you have.

2020 is the time to take control of your destiny and get the outcome you want for yourself. You’re not alone, and it’s not your fault if you’ve felt like that in the past. They were teaching you a mindset of scarcity, but it’s time we live in a mindset of abundance.

If you don’t resonate with what the other conferences are teaching, then PT Biz Con is where you belong. (Get your seat before prices go up Sunday!)
