What is a Lead Magnet?

A lead magnet is something you offer people for free in exchange for their contact information. Simple as that! It can be a checklist, video training, e-book, or small course. Anything that will be valuable to your potential customers.

For instance, in our clinic, we have a back pain e-book, a hip pain e-book, a video library, and a pelvic floor checklist.

How Can Lead Magnets Work for Your Business?

My Platinum Mastermind Entrepreneur of the Year, Alexis Sams, just recently put up a post in her Facebook group asking people to comment their emails if they wanted a specific lead magnet.

She ended up with almost 700 emails in the comments. 700!

Why Do You Need a Lead Magnet?

If you can get people to raise their hand and go from prospect to lead, they are more likely to buy from you. It doesn’t matter if they actually read or watch the lead magnet… all that matters is that they showed interest in the first place.

If you’ve got 5,000 followers on your social platforms but none are on your email list, you have a problem. That’s why lead magnets are so important: whatever contact info you receive, you own.

So yes, you need lead magnets!
