You Own a Private Practice, so What Can a Blog Do for You?

Your blog is your best friend.  Why?  Because it can direct patients who are looking online for a solution to their condition to your website and into your treatment room.

I have 1 blog post I made almost 2 years ago, May 14, 2012 to be exact, “Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or BPPV – What’s that? Greensboro, NC” which has earned me over $1300.I know this because I track my patients and where they heard about me and my post is the 1st page that shows up on google when patients search for “BPPV in Greensboro.” These patients only need 1-3 visits and I typically don’t even see them after the 1st or 2nd, so imagine the results if just 1 patient a month with back pain searches for their condition, sees your blog post, lands on your blog, resonates with what you wrote and calls you to schedule an appointment and they come in for 4-8 visits and refer a friend?

This one blog post, where I described the symptoms of BPPV and how it is treated, pays for my blog hosting tenfold.  I use a self-hosted WordPress Blog, and I describe in detail exactly how to create a successful and professional looking blog in my eBook “Blogging For Your Therapy Practice.”
